Important Ap question

let's say i go to Oregon State. I get 50 AP credits that they grant me..i go there for a year and i transfer to Stanford. Will Stanford include those APs as credits from Oregon State???? what will happen to my 50 ap credits that Oregon state granted me?

Ok assuming that your transfer to Stanford works out, probably only some of the credits will transfer. Most colleges have a limit and a lot of your AP credit would be credit that Stanford would NOT have granted you.

Agreed, it depends on the AP courses that Stanford recognizes.

I doubt it.

Which is a good thing, because the employers/grad schools who would usually accept Stanford students won't accept the work quality from someone who would do something like this.

Colleges in the echelon of Stanford follow their own rules about how to evaluate AP test scores and how to treat previous credits of transfer students. Don't count on being that far ahead at Stanford, if you get in.

Lol, I'm not saying i will get in. I'm not saying i am going to even go to Oregon State, what I'm saying is if Oregon State gives me like 45 AP credits (which is Stanford's max) Will Stanford recognize them as AP credits or Oregon State credits? They will be on my Oregon State transcript so i don't know why they wouldn't, but I'm just wondering. Or let's say i get a 3 in AP U.S. history and Oregon state gives me the credit, but at Stanford i need let's say a 5...will they give me the credit...(I'm not specifically talking about Oregon State and Stanford, they are just the examples i am using)

Stanford will not grant you the credit if you scored lower than their limit for granting credit. Even if you get the credit at another school and transfer, they still see that you took the ap test for credit and not the actual class at Oregon State, so they will ask to see the score probably.

I'm pretty sure Stanford won't recognize them as Oregon State credits.

Stanford already barely accepts any AP credits. So no. And the chances of getting transferred into Stanford is like 5%...

llpitch...why don't you read everything i write before you actually write something down?

I mean, did you actually read my last sentence?

well, anyways, thanks, i just wanted to know.
