Important! Commonapp Alternate Versions

If I have two schools on the Commonapp to submit Early Action, how does the Alternate Version work? Do I submit the common app to the two colleges and then create one? I don't exactly know how to do this. Anyone know?

Check the instruction page. It’s way down there. You do have to submit at least one application, but you can up several alternate versions, up to 10 I believe. but, why do you feel the need to send separate versions? My son did that when the college didn’t have a supplement and he wanted to send his supplement essay for their common app essay.

The colleges I’m applying to early action are two match/safety schools. I want to be able to edit my essays a little more for the other schools.

Let’s say I have 10 schools total, two of which are EA. When I submit the two EA schools, I check them off, sign the signature page, etc. After I submit them, I create the alternate commonapp using the link. Then, after I make the alternate version, I have to move the schools from the already sent one to the alternate one. I don’t add the two submitted schools to the alternate one.

From what I have read, is that the correct method to deal with the extra colleges that are RD?
