Important Cornell Question

Your Academic Interest
On a separate sheet of paper, please answer both questions below. Be sure to include your name and U.S. Social Security number, and staple the
page to the back of this 2H form.
■ Tell us what you’d like to major in at Cornell. How has academic or work experience influenced your decision?
■ How would transferring to Cornell further your academic interests?

Is the above one essay or two?

2 questions=2 essays

Are you sure, did you apply to Cornell?

I'm pretty sure you could weave it into one. But I don't think they really care.. they just want the questions answered.

I want to know from someone who applied to Cornell.

For my Cornell application, and answered both questions in one essay. I basically just recycled my "Why do you want to go to x school" essay.

I'm looking at applying to Cornell, and I'm nearly certain I know which questions you're talking about. Note that it mentions multiple times that it should be "one" piece of paper. It looks to me like these are short answer questions, not actual essays. Give a half of the page or less to each question. That's my recommendation.

Yeah you are probably right. It says "essay" not "essays"

Applied and got accepted. Answered that as two short questions on one piece of paper. Try doing both and see which one reads better. I doubt it would matter that much. However, if they wanted one question I am sure they could have asked only one question instead of using two bullets. Good luck!
