Important EC info

There are specific ECs I want to do, and I want to know the status of it.

I sing, so... are there accapella groups? Not just the big choir group, but the 5~15 people accapella group. If so, how good are they?

Dancing. I mean hip hop. Anyone know Dorian? He's apparently the head of breakdancing club. I had a brief online conversation with him about dancing, and I'm trying to re-connect with him. Has anyone seen them perform?
And of course Claremont's renowned ballroom dancing. I watched their competitive team's performance and I was not impressed to be honest. Should I try it?

Lacrosse. Claremont lacrosse club team is probably pretty good, right? Cuz CMC is there. I mean a graduate from our school is attending CMC right now, and he's an amazing goalie and was a All-American. Do you think I'll have the play-time if I am not amazing? How time consuming would it be?

I just made a similar thread and there is a link i put in there that link to the info on the student organizations on the website. That’s about as much as I know. :/

yeah. I saw your post, but I didn’t want to steal yours :)

oh haha. naw, it was suppose to be a general thread on extracurriculars but also asking about what i’m interested in personally… i don’t mind if people ask about extracurriculars they’re interested in there, because then it will become a more conclusive thread on the extracurriculars at Mudd, which is good.

On a completely random note, i saw you joined the facebook group. why is ur profile picture you wrapped in a cast?? haha

haha.
That was my ad hoc halloween costume

CCBDC is some kick-ass *!&@. Seriously. They got like second in the national competition after Brigham Young (don’t ask)… They also have various levels of commitment so whether you’re a A) serious competitive dancer B) social dancer C) like to dance but suck, there’s lots of events.

Here’s a link to a review of this year’s SoCal A Capella Music Festival (SCAMFEST) :

If I remember correctly, Mood Swing and Claremont Shades both have significant Mudder presence, and they’re about 20-30 people. Or if you really want small, you could be the 7th member of Kosher Chords.

My suitemate played club lacrosse this fall. He seemed to like it, and I remember they went to a big tourney in Las Vegas over Fall Break. I honestly don’t remember how much time he spent per week, but it definitely wasn’t overwhelming. PM me and I can probably get you in contact with him.

I’m guessing CCBDC is the ballroom group?

Yeah, I saw some of their competitive dance routines, but I was expecting something more intense. (sorry if I offended anybody)

7th member of Kosher Chords. Sounds good! I must practice before I go then
