I have to write a short response about an engineer of our time that i think is influential. It has to be creative and specific.

I was thinking about writing about the guy who invented velcrow. If that hadn't come around, maybe our offspring would have continued to trip on their laces and further damage the intellectual development of our future generations.
(Totally joking)

But I do need to write a short essay, and I have no clue what/ who to write about. Any ideas?

but not one person themselves invented the internet, although there are some people who played a good role in developing it… I guess I could write about one of them.

I just don’t want it to be dull.

It’s for a summer program submission. I’d be afraid to use the velcrow idea, for obvious reasons. I do, however, want my response to be creative. :/

Okay, so the only other guys i can think of are Thomas Edison and Graham Bell, along with the guy who is accredited with inventing the world wide web. However, from what i can see, none of these men had engineering degrees. I guess this does not make them ‘engineers’?

Velcrow Guy
Asian guy who ‘founded’ bioengineering
Rocket Scientist who invented the super soaker

No-Engineering-Degree “Engineers”-

Thomas Edison
Graham Bell
Guy who created the world wide web

Okay. This is what i got it down too. Who should i go with? Other suggestions are still appreciated. :] (Remember, has to be about someone from the 20th/21st century)

Iannis Xenakis, he applied his knowledge of math and physics to his avant garde compositions and then he turned one of his compositions into Philips Pavillion for the Brussels World Fair. He is an insane creative genius. He also was a commie.

Steve Wozniack or however you spell his name. There’s enough info on him and he really contributed to personal computers, something that influences everything.
