I had passion in everything i did as a high schooler and tried to show that through my essays. i think its because i originally applied to their BA/MD prgram and got rejected and so they prob. thought i wouldnt go. plus GWU asks what other colleges you applied too and maybe they thought i would most likely pick those over GWU, since they are nyu JHU, penn columbia. im stilll sad though. but watever, still got NYU acceptance letter and many more to open.

Extra Curriculars: Chairman of entirely student-run statewide organization that recruits high school volunteers for political campaigns, Model UN for 4 years (committee chair senior year), You Choose (student-run mock debates/elections) for 2 years, Model Congress, NHS, student government, etc etc...you get the idea. I also occasionally do sound crew for various theater productions in and out of school.
Essays: My strong point by far. Common App essay was very good to excellent. Supplement was recycled from another school but I'm pretty sure it was impossible to tell.
Teacher Recs: Probably very good but didn't get to see them. Two very experienced teachers who love me, both of whom I've had for multiple years. Also had a very good supplemental rec from my supervisor at my internship for a certain presidential campaign.
Counselor Rec: She said it was one of the best she's written in recent memory, but I didn't get to see it.
Hook (if any): Politics and possibly the fact that I do a lot of creative writing outside of school (which I heavily played up in my application) and hope to be a published author one day.</p>
