Hi,
I am a freshman in high school right now and i dont know if i should do a summer math program. It counts as 8 college credits. Does Columbia look at summer programs? And if they do, do they like it?

Also i want to get into Columbia really bad, does anyone have any tips i should do in highschool to increase my chance in getting in Columbia?

Thanks in advance!

Apply for the columbia science honors program next year. It’s very competitive and will definitely help you get into columbia (its also easier to get in as a sophomore and harder as a junior).

You can do the summer program and you should as it definitely is a learning experience, but summer programs really boost your application only if they are prestigious and very selective, such as MOP, SSP, SHP, RSI, PROMYS, etc. But regardless, any program can only help you

But isnt the columbia science program super expensive? Plus what do those programs look for when you apply to the college?
Also do you, have any tips that will help me get in columbia?
Thanks alot
