The fact is McGIll got a record high number of admissions this year, and with many applicants fufilling the program requirements they have been forced to introduce the Waiting List concept for the first time.

Applicants that were not immediately accepted are now offered the option of being placed on the waiting list through MINERVA or denying that option.

As a person who is currently on that dreaded list and hoping every day to get an acceptance I'm asking those who have been placed on the waiting list OR been accepted and chosen to attend another college (especially in arts hehe) to please go on MINERVA and confirm this so their spot opens up for the other students.

Past a certain deadline unconfirmations will be assumed to be rejected but doing this can make a big difference for Waitlisters and also helps the school administrative system.

Thank you,

Bumped for its uncanny truth. Oh and happy Canada Day folks!

Canada day was yesterday, June 1st...........

belated Canada day then :) It's a long weekend up here so the festivities are still going on.

did you get in undisclosed? i guess that's why you're so happy.

lol I'm always happy. But no unfortunately I'm still waitlisted with no end in sight. In fact a rather rude reply from admissions regarding my questions about the wait list has me quite discouraged right now about actually getting in.

July 1st... And in Montreal, it's known as Moving Day.

yeah, mcgill admissions officers are pretty obnoxious. but yeah, i got lucky from the waitlist and i know a bunch of other people as well. not sure about the other schools, but arts seems to take a ton of people from the waitlist, so it definitely isn't uncommon. good luck!

lol Blobof I meant July 1st, I probably should have just put "yesterday"...
