IMPORTANT QUESTION about application!

Ok, so i wrote my essay on Word and discovered it is wayyy too long. It's like 4 pages. I was worried that the essay might be too long to fit in the alloted essay box on the online apps. However, i managed to fit the whole essay in that box. Do you think my essay will still be truncated? Or should i stop worrying since the whole essay fits inside the box?

It says it will be truncated if you exceed the length requirements, and I wouldn't test them on it if I were you. Besides, I'm sure you will improve the focus of your essay by editing out extranneous information and wordy constructions to meet the limit.

yeah, it says it will be truncated if it exceeds 65 lines. However, the box is very small so 65 lines is maybe 2 paragraphs.

also, there isnt a tool that allows you to check how mant lines youve typed.

just count the lines, its not that hard. the little box on the application expands with your essay, so you can type as much as u want in there. i do think that they made a bad job with the essay tool, but go with it. dont test them about the 65 lines. if they say they will truncate your work, they will

i called the admissions office and they said that they read everything in the box. I specifically asked her if they would cut it off after 65 lines and she said twice that they read everything that fits in the box. Im still not really sure, however.
