Important question about checking decisions

Hey guys, I'd be so thankful if you can answer my questions (you will be blessed...! :) ).
You see, I was too busy with work and didn't check harvard admissions main website for a while and today I just realized you had to sign up/consent for email notification before march 27? How did I not know about this?

Then, when I went searching on CC, I realized someone made a post that made me wonder since I didn't receive any email from Harvard except the first email where they sent me the access code.

Dare7to7Dream says in an earlier post, 'in the new link they´ve sent you in the email' as a response to a question for how to check the decision. But I never received that link?!

Also, since harvard says 'Applicants may indicate if they would like to have their admission decision e-mailed to them.', does that mean the only way to receive decisions is by email and no status page and if you did not indicate, you have to wait for post? I'm an international and that would be wayyy too long.

Help! :) Thanks

Regardless, even if you didn’t sign up, you will still get a decision in the mail. Unlike some other schools which only show decisions online, Harvard is apparently still planning on sending paper decision letters to all applicants.

that’s annoying, i have no recollection if i signed up for email notification or not, and now it’s too late. i wonder if there’s some way to find out if i’m signed up.

It’s pretty hilarious to read about colleges that sent me 300 pieces of propaganda and view books over the past 2 years, suddenly saying they plan to do electronic-only admissions decisions in the name of saving the environment. Glad to hear Harvard hasn’t followed the other lemmings off the cliff.

lol tenchar

@ slicebuncake, you can probably still log into your commonapp account, and click the supplemental form for Harvard and see if you requested an email decision or not.

you’re right! phew. you just made my day, ticktock. thanks.

I tried my access code with that and it said Login failed and it’s not the right code/last name combo. Did that happen to anyone else?

yes, i think the accounts are locked out at this point.

guys are you ready for 31st? coz i’ve been waiting for this day since like 165 days ago but still getting so nervous!!!

more than we’ll ever be.

agreed :-/ I believe I have posted in at least three threads how nervous I am - my stomach feels tight  lol

"yes, i think the accounts are locked out at this point. "

I just logged in with no problems; you guys couldn’t log in?

I mean I can but it doesnt show anything besides our personal info.

Oh, ok; that’s what mine say too. I thought that you couldn’t access anything at all.

No I hope not. That would suck. Btw, goodluck fellow trombone player!

I just logged in fine.

I’m not nervous. I have no expectations to get in so it makes things easier rofl.

Oooh. I logged in, and it said my access code was invalid. Does anyone else have the same problem? I checked earlier, and it just had my personal info (it had taken off the application status stuff).
