THE QUESTION:
would the number of applications to lets say UPENN wharton from the same school affect the chances that the students would be accepted in other words- if a person applys to the same school u are applying to and he has better stats then would that decrease your chance to get in?

bump10char

Wharton would have no problem taking 2 from one school ED, especially a strong school. I interview and see it all the time.

That said, you are indeed compared to your classmates and to others your high school sent to Wharton in past years.

no what i mean is if a person in my class also applys to wharton then would my chances decrease because both me and him are applying there?

The short answer is yes as colleges compare applicants from the same school. The longer answer is that if you’re both stellar they will have no problem accepting you both. But I’ll add that your CR and writing scores are low for Wharton, so I’d guess a deferral so you have time to retake the SATs and become more competitive.

can u chance me on the other schools?

I don’t chance because there’s just too much we can’t know from these posts. I am familiar with scores of those accepted to Wharton though.

Pretty solid all around, but do you plan on playing in tennis in college? It is a pretty impressive ranking. Also, it really depends on your high school for the question. If it’s a large and prestigious one, it probably won’t matter because of the amounts of applicants, but a small one will probably make a small difference.
