Ok, so I'm a sophomore at UCSC and i passed the computer science AP test in high school. Last year I took the computer science class which my AP test fulfilled the requirement for so I could get an easy A. However, I ended up missing one of the midterms and getting a C in the class despite getting a 99% on the final. The major I'm pursuing (cognitive science) requires a B or better in this class. Is there some way that my AP test could make up for the fact that I got a C in the class? If not, what should I do? Getting a C in this class has been detrimental to my GPA and is now preventing me from declaring my major. Help please!

I wouldn’t rely upon an answer you get on this message board. I’d talk to your advisor, and work together with him to find out a definite answer. Every university has their own policies.
