Important question regarding credits...plz help

<p>I’m trying to make my freshmen year a little bit easier, so this summer i’m planning to goto a community college to earn some credits before i attend UCSC this fall…</p>

<p>The thing is each course in the ih,is,Q etc. requirements for
“GENRAL REQUIREMENTS” are worth 5 credits and the coures at the CC are worth only 3 or 4 credits…</p>

<p>For example, if i take an english 1A course at CC, will it count as one course towards my IH requirements even though is only worth 3 credits instead of 5?</p>

<p>It should be fine. I'm assuming the CC you will be going to is on the semester system. UCSC is on the quarter system, so to convert semester credits to quarter credits, multiply the semester credits by 1.5.</p>

<p>3*1.5=4.5, it's not 5, but you should still be getting full credit for the course anyway.</p>
