Hi, I have a question regarding my college transcript. I'm in my second year of college right now, but last year ( 2 last semesters) I had medical problems that made me withdraw from classes (I have 7 W's) My GPA is 3.94. I've heard about how if you have 3 W's or more you won't be accepted to medical school. So, I wanted to know in my situation, will 7 W's affect my chances of getting in? Will my 3.94 GPA and with High MCAT results, can I still be admitted to med school? Please give me any advice you have on this matter. I would really appreciate your help.

I don’t know of any school that explicitly says, “Don’t bother applying if you have more than three W’s.” Medical schools are concerned about W’s that are the result of poor academic performance for no good reason. Health issues are a legitimate reason for W’s, so when you apply you will need to explain somewhere on your application that your W’s are the result of health issues.

That’s what I thought, Thanks for reassuring me shades_children.
