Important Registration Question

If anyone looks at the "sample 4-year course schedule" for STERN, you'll notice that the freshman year has no electives, the sophomore year has 1 class worth, junior year has a few, and senior year has almost all classes as electives. I want to know if this is pretty much how everyone does it, or if i can mix it around. for example i want to move convo and cultures to another year so that i can start a foreign language as a freshman, and i wanted to know if this is allowed or discouraged or what.

thank you for reading and responding!

Yeah, it's fine to move classes around a bit - it's not a hard and fast rule, but it helps kids who don't really know what they want to major or minor in yet because they won't waste elective credits.

Check to see if World Cultures is still a prereq for EGB/ISP - it used to be, but probably isn't now. Otherwise, yes, feel free to put those classes off. My only warning is that both classes involve a lot of reading and freshman year may be the only year you'll feel like actually doing any of it!
