<p>I know it has been discussed before but never definitely answered.</p>
<p>Am I at a disadvantage if I did not take a SAT II in foreign language?</p>
<p>I am applying to the College of Arts and Sciences and it says that it recommends the test for admission and placing purposes. I know SAT II may be important for placement, but is it important for ADMISSION?</p>
<p>I would have taken the Chinese and Listening like the rest of the people at my school, but I thought that it was pointless since I'm already Chinese. However, I wasn't totally aware of Penn's rule of "recommending a SAT II in foreign language." The deadline for Nov (the only day administering the test has passed) and there is no way I can take French. I have already taken 3 SAT II (chem, math iic, us history) so I was wondering if not taking foreign language test effects my admission at all. Maybe even the slightest of bit. </p>
<p>Current Penn CAS students, did you take a SAT II foreign language test to get in?</p>
