Important Stanford Question

Can someone make this clear: Does Stanford recalculate the gpa without Freshman year?

i heard like two people saying on this forum that they do reccalculate without freshman year but they seemed unsure. And then my friend at school said his mom read about it in a Korean newspaper that said they DO take freshman year into account.

Please clarify this for me

<p>The school report form that the counselor fills out asks for GPA and says that they (Stanford) prefer a GPA without the freshman year and that covers only academic subjects.</p>
