Do my science classes fufill the 2 years of LABORATORY science that I need for USC? I mean I did labs in all of the classes so I don't see why not! But I just want to DOUBLE CHECK!

anatomy is a branch of biology though!
intergrated 1/2 and 3/4 was a science requirement at my public high school. it's a mix of a lot of science -- hence "integrated" and we did labs every block wednesday. we were also required to conduct our own science fair project.

Lab science is a science that is a true branch. Examples include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science. I'm surprised you haven't taken a Biology course; at many schools it is required for graduation. I guess Anatomy comes close. The only way to find out for sure is to e-mail them.

I think if you did labs in your science class, it counts as a lab science. The title can vary from school to school; it's the content that counts.

The real question is, what can you do about it now? Assuming you're a senior this year, is what it is. Apply to USC, and be sure to tell them that your science classes did include labs. Your GC might be able to mention it in her letter, as well.

Thanks, but my Recs are already in. Should I mention something at my Interview THIS weekend? I have an interview with USC Admissions on Saturday. And if I should say something, what would I ask. Thanks!

The question is, what did you cover in Integrated Science for two years? Is it designed to replace introductory biology?

Anatomy can be taught with or without a lab. Why don't you get a copy of the summarized school report that is sent with your transcript and see how your sciences are listed? Or ask your counselor if he or she sees a problem with your courses. So many colleges require two years of lab science that I'd be REALLY surprised if your school didn't supply at least that. So, don't worry too much.
