1) I got in Upenn for ED College of ArtsandSciences. I also applied for a seven yr dental program, which was mainly my reason for wanting to go there. However, the dental program accepts students in May. My question, IF I DONT GET IN THE PROGRAM, DO I STILL HAVE TO GO TO PENN?

2) I dont come from a wealthy family, and in fact, we are rather on the bottom side, and have multiple children in the family. So I despretly need financial aid. Will Penn AUTOMATICALLY, give me an almost free ride to the University? and IF SO, when will the grant decisions come in? because if i do not get enough money, i cannot afford to go

3) What other important things are there to do after one is accepted?

THANKS IN ADV

bummmmmmmmmmpppppppp

I’m not sure but if you applied ED specifically for that program I think that means your in. Call the admissions office to be sure.

If you applied for financial and turned in all the forms then you should be able to see how much you recieved on the portal.

From the sound of your post it doesn’t seem like you checked out the links on the side of the decisions letter. There should be links to the CAS 2015 page, a checklist, your school committment form, etc. If you click “My PennPlan Online” that should take you to your FinAid information and let you know what they gave you, unless your like me and your missing a form. If you didn’t recieve enough you can always make a plea to the finaid office to explain your situation and request more funds. I don’t know the whole process for that but I’d suggest calling their office.
For the other things you need to do:
If your FinAid works out and your set on Penn then go to Online Reply. You’ll need to have done this by early January. When you do this you need to withdraw all of your other college applications. You will also need to pay the $400 enrollment deposits. Besides that, just explore the links and celebrate your acceptance.

did you also say “early decision for College of Arts and Sciences” at the bottom of the app if you get rejected from the 7 year bio-dental program?? cuz there was an option to press yes or no. if you pressed yes, that means u got rejected from the bio-dental program but accepted to the college of arts and sciences and you still have to go there. yes to find out what ur financial aid is, look at the right side for the links. this is what your decision should have said if you got into the bio-dental program like i did:

“Congratulations! Welcome to the University of Pennsylvania and the Seven-year Bio-Dental Program Class of 2015!”

if you forgot to say “i dont want ED if i dont get accepted to the dental program”, then that’s your mistake and youre gonna have to live with that. but to answer, the decision for both came together.

I signed up for the SEAS as a chemical engineer. but now i dont want to do chemcial engineering anymore. Is it possible to transfer to the College of arts and sciences and pursue the normal 8 yr dental route?

I believe that you can transfer into CAS but I’m not sure if you can do it now or if you can switch after 1 semester. Also, why did you apply for SEAS if you weren’t 100% sure you wanted to chemical engineering?

they asked for a major. and at the time i, i wanted to do it. now im having second thought…
