I know Columbia does not answer from the waitlist before May 15, but still, has anyone heard anything or any news about the waitlist?

No, but the CU waitlist is so unforgiving (55/~1700, 8/~320 engineering), I wouldn't expect many "I'M IN!" posts at this point.

Nope.

I'm on the waitlist as well, but like Starbuck pointed out, chances are slim.

You're better off setting your heart on another university and taking Columbia back into consideration if you get in. Probability is working against you.
(Hate to be discouraging, but it's worse if you pour all your hopes and dreams on this and get turned down later)

How is this an important question if you know the answer? It isn't may 15th, is it?

Starbuck's numbers are way too generous, if you think those are your actual chances. That was last year's number. In many years it is 0 out of whatever. There's no way to predict the yield.
