I haven't got any e-mail telling me they are missing anything...And it still says I'm missing a teacher recommendation.

W00t

Now my school report and transcript are showing up but a rec is still missing though

same here...........school report and transcript are in...missing one rec plus the stupid International Info Sheet............

Would they still review your application if you're missing one recommendation? That would probably hurt your chances especially if it's a good one, but I'd rather at least have a shot than have them not look at my app at all because they are missing one rec.

can someone post the contents of the e-mail here?

I got an e-mail yesterday saying they didn't have stuff but now I checked the website and the things missing are all in (and I called to confirm that they were in), so I don't know why they sent e-mails that say things aren't in when they didn't finish processing all the stuff.

Here's what my e-mail says:
Selection committees are currently reviewing completed applications for early decision admission to Cornell for Fall 2006. We have been unable to make a decision on yours, however, because we are missing some of the application material that was due at the Undergraduate Admissions Office. We would like to be able to consider your application fully, but we need your help.

To find out what is missing from your application, you should log in to your self-service system account at: https://admissions.cornell.edu/selfservice/. Please submit the missing items within two weeks (or, if what is missing should have been sent by someone else on your behalf, arrange for that person to submit it) to: Application Processing Center, 349 Pine Tree Road, Ithaca, NY 14850.

If there are additional requirements specified by your particular college that you have not yet met, they will need to be completed as well. If you have questions about SAT II requirements, please contact the undergraduate college you're applying to directly. The contact information is in our viewbook and on our Web site at: http://www.cornell.edu/admissions/.

If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call us at 607/255-5046. We look forward to receiving the requested information.

ok...i sent out three recs....one being an additional one which is non-academic....i donno which one they received....hope it;s the academic one.

Should I phone the college to get more info??

Things realli screw up this time.....

guys i am kind of nervous, im still missing a teacher rec. on my online account, but i haven't gotten an email..

Me too. I'm going to call them today and see what's up.

This is freaking me out. I sent everything in one big envelope, and they e-mailed to tell me that they haven't got my school transcript - but they CANNOT NOT have received it!

thx god...they got everything except the Intl Info Sheet...i never transfer to other schools since i came to canada in gr 9....so i guess that sheet is not that important???????

I called appliation processing and they told me that the files have been sent to the appropriate College's admissions offices and whatever that does not show up now, is not in your file. They said that you have to resend anything that does not show up in the self-service account. I have to resend a recommendation letter.

Do you guys know if they work on Friday? Or are they off for Thanksgiving and tomorrow too? Cus i just called HE admissions and they are not there.

you no what sucks? i dont have school till monday so I cant ask my teacher to resend his letter of reccomendation till then..

most staff members have off from nov. 24th-27th. i don't know if thats all of them though.

heythatslife: they easily could have recieved your package and lost one piece of it after opening it. However, for school transcript, your school sends an official one with the GC rec, not you...sending your report card isn't good enough, it has to be the school's official one that's embossed and sealed or w/e

Well, it seems this thread has officially died. It had a nice, long, and quite popular reign throughout November. I got IMs of people actually thanking me for starting this thread, calming their fears, and answering their questions. Since all the applications have been forwarded to their respective colleges, any more missing materials should be resent immediately upon calling the admissions office of the COLLEGE to which you applied to, not the general admissions office.

Again, thanks to all for making this thread helpful for everyone (myself included) and I wish you all luck. 18 days left!

sparti: I asked my counselor to send another one, so that should be OK, right?

should we send the missing materials to the specific college or admission processing center????????????

The Pine Tree address
