Your qualifications look great, but you are right to be worried about your reading and writing scores. Have you taken or plan to take a prep course? Have you been working on your vocab and taking practice tests? Read up about the essay. There are a few tricks, and examples (even made up) are important.
Good luck!

To answer your question, I’d put your chances at one in three. But if you could get those test scores higher, not only would you be a lock, you would probably get offered decent merit $$.
What are you thinking of majoring in?

My SAT 1700 is actually a 330 point improvement from May 2009 - March 2010 (10 mos). …started up with the tutor again focusing on grammar (ACT and SAT) and reading. Math is not a problem at all. I want to major in BioMed engineering; also though I am having 2nd doubts about CASE - I do not know if I could keep up with all the academic geniuses that go up there. and I might be setting myself up for failure…plus it is SOOOO expensive…

The great thing about a small private like Case is that there is a lot of “Supplemental Instruction” sessions led by T/As and the professors are very accessible. Case also has great Coop programs and research opportunities galore. Most privates are expensive, but Case is much more generous with non-need based (merit) aid than most.
OK - thanks for that info… gives me some hope… I will check out the Merit $$ link that you sent… anxious to see that because I had heard CASE is bad with $$ unless you are a super genius…
