My love of this school continues to grow. I became accquainted with Elon in 2004. When my oldest S choose to study there. He did extremely well and I could not have imagined a better college experience for him. To my delight now his brother has choosen to go to Elon!!!.
While down at the freshman orientation a few weeks ago I was able to reflect back on the growth I have seen in the past 6 years. I am astonished. Elon remains a true gem. The caring and warmth combined with the beautiful campus is a gift.

So good to hear this - I am thinking of ED at Elon for S2. Since you are so familiar with the school - is there anything you don’t like about it? Anything your older son complained about during his time at Elon? Just curious.

It is hard to come up with some things but I will try. By his senior year he felt he had outgrown Elon and was ready to move on. (I look at that as growth). Another thing was the meal plan got old. Yet by junior year he lived off campus and somehow cooked for himself. Lastly as with any school some proffessors were better than others.
Really no major complaints!
But as for a parent looking at him I found that the university gave him a wonderful education and experience. He was competitive in the marketplace when he went for his first job. Got wonderful scores on his LSAT’s. Passed right through his CPA exam on the first try and is now starting Law school at Boston College this fall.
Who could ask for more!!!

What was his major - sounds like accounting? Do you know anything about the Leisure and Sport Management program?

He majored in Accounting and minor in Economics. He had some friends in the leisure and sports management major. I know that they had tough times finding jobs. Some decided to go back to school for Nursing.

addismile - the job issue - that’s what I wondered about too. S1 was accepted at Elon - wanted to do LSM - but then he was accepted at Wake and we all decided that a busines degree from Wake would be better in the job market. Maybe S2 - who loves Elon - could do a business major and LSM minor - that might be the way to go.

Elon’s business school is great…That sounds like an interesting Major/Minor.
