I want to improve my score by at least 600 points in about 6 months. What's the most effective way to achieve this goal? I need to improve on CR and Writing but not so much on math. Any help would be great!

cheat.... lol 600-700 points is practically impossible unless you are determined.

I didn't study nor took any practice tests for the june SAT but I am determined now b/c I'm taking some helpful AP classes next year that will help me with the SAT.

what grade are you in? but yeah just get the blue book and collegeboard online course and just keep taking practice test after practice tests. Also buy specialized books to learn the basics tricks involved.

me too i definitely want to improve by at least 600 points...i'm planning to take the princeton course

brain transplant

I got from 1570 to 2050 in a few months without much preparation; it definately is possible.

Dont let anybody tell you it is not possible.... I went from a 1750 to a 2220, so its possible.... Similar to you, my math was very strong (I got an 800 this time) but my critical rreading and writing were weak. When I first started i was scoring about 750 in math, with 590 Critical reading!! and 600 writing..... I used the barron's New SAT prep book which kind of overprepared me, but it helped me ALOT b/c of the degree of difficulty. I scored a 710 on both CR and writing, nothing amazing but a lot better than a 590 and 600... I will retake in October to raise those 2 further
