Yeah I remember that. I laughed out loud that MIT was directing us to play an internet game while they screwed around with the server.

agreed this thread is up way too earlyy…makin me nervous =p

bump. I think we all need a little more stuff with which to procrastinate, as it seems like we won’t be getting decisions for a while yet…

Seriously, we better be getting decisions on the 15th. I mean, part of me is logical and realizes that hey, I’ve waiting 6 years for this, what’s a few more days? while the other half is thinking god, if they don’t get these decisions out soon I’m going to go insane and just watch Good Will Hunting on repeat while developing stomach ulcers and compulsively doing Calculus and reading The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.

I’m currently reading The Idea Factory: Learning to Think at MIT. If you haven’t already read it, I highly suggest you check it out =)

pi!!!

Am I the only one completely swamped with homework!!! However, I’ll always find time to watch Scrubs and House re-runs =) (if you haven’t been able to tell from the 50+ references to these shows, they’re crack)

yeeah i love house! lol
i’m procrastinating on my hmwk.. haha

omg house and scrubs are the two best shows ever

Eaaaaggggggggggggggggglllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I refresh Matt’s blog every hour or so…but nothing ever changes.

Does he hate me?

I think he hates all of us. :'(

i think the most logical sequence of events is that they announce tomorrow that selection has begun, and that decisions will be announced on the 15th. if they did in fact start selection on the 7th, then the earliest that they would have announced the decision date would likely still be tomorrow because they need to get a little ways into selection before they can know how long it will take.

I certainly hope so… I’ll cry if I don’t find out on the 15th.

And by the 15th, do you mean they’ll be online then or mailed then?

wouldn’t it be bad if matt were writing blogs instead of reading apps/participating in selection committee? probably the lack of recent blogs is a good thing :)

Good luck to all you EA applicants!

true, they must be hard at work :P

but couldn’t they take a short 15-minute break to put our minds at ease? heh

Or even a 5 minute break. I mean, this would suffice:

“We entered selection committee on X date. Decisions will be out on X date. Start your countdowns.”

Until they announce a date, it’s not going to feel real. It’s been only an awesome dream until this point, but once they say when the decisions will be, it’ll become more nerve racking.

la montagne, YES, I completely agree. I know that they’re busy, but seriously, a blog post isn’t that much to ask.

BLARGH BLARGH BLARGH. The worst part is, I can’t seem to work on finishing the rest of my apps with my MIT decision still in the air. (well actually, I know I’m probably going to get deferred, but still, it’d be… conclusive to hear it from them)
