hey, I was just wondering whether colleges consider the fact that an applicant raised his or her sat score by quite some points. On my first sat in october I got a 2010 (cr 670/m 610/wr 730) but on my second test in december I scored a 2220 (cr 760/m 690/ wr 770). How much do you think will this influence my chances? I know it's not a perfect score, but I'm glad I was able to improve in such a short time. By the way, I'm international and my toefl ibt score is 118 out of 120.

thanks a lot for your replies!
and happy holidays to everyone :-)

Great job!
The use of SAT scores varies quite a bit, but most take the highest SAT scores. Some want to see all SAT1’s, some allow you to pick and choose. When you send your scores, collegeboard.com knows this and will force you to do as the college requires. Some take your highest individual subscores (reading/math/writing) across different sittings and some only take the highest sitting. They usually spell this out in their admission material. You might try and take it again in January for the heck of it, if the schools you are applying to will accept tests that late. Good luck!
