<p>Regarding the SAT scores, I would encourage to focus on the Math section. With a dedicated practice that does NOT rely at all on high school math, he should be able to add 140-180 to his score. A perfect 800 (or close) placed next to his 680 CR will carry *much *more weight than the 32 ACT. All that is needed then are two or three competitive SAT Subject Tests scores. Also, I would not rely on the ACT subscores as SAT Subject Tests score replacements, unless the subscores were 34-36.</p>
<p>Just in response to the last part of #20, I applied for admission for Fall 2008, so a match this year will probably still be competitive next year, though the number of applications to Tulane has increased this year (as at many schools). That said, you should still put your best efforts into presenting yourself through your application in a favorable light. It’s definitely getting harder to predict admissions as of late, so I would definitely follow people’s advice to find a few good safeties.</p>
