improvement in grades

say I have a 3.4 unweighted gpa-- not so great considering the colleges i deserve to go to (based on intelligence/ drive)

say I get straight A+'s the first marking period of my senior year

would that matter/ could that be a deciding factor in admissions? or is it already too late

has anyone else gotten into a top school with straight A+'s their senior year?

thanks

i heard that many schools dont see your first semester grade...

i'm going to send it in with my application and have my guidance counselor write it in the rec letter- not wait for them to do it automatically in the midyear report
