Improvement of Bad Grade in Math

Math courses in high school:

Algebra 2 Honors A/B+
PreCalculus Honors C+/A
AP Calculus BC A/A (AP Score: 5)
AP Statistics (pending grades)

Would it look bad if I get bad grades in a lower level honors math class, but then showed significant improvement? I may have gotten a B and a C in the honors classes, but I ended up with all A’s and a 5 on the AP Calc BC exam. Doing good in AP math classes shows that I have still learned everything from previous classes despite bad grades.

What exactly is your question? It is what it is. You just have to apply and hope for,the best. At least all your math classes were hard, so don’t worry too much. My understsnding is that the occasional C can be forgiven.

It looks better than the reverse, right? Improvement is good. It shows that you’ve figured out how to study this subject effectively. It’s not as good as consistently making As, but schools know that kids mature at different rates in different areas. (S almost got a C in math junior year - the shock of it was a wake-up call about how to study that stayed with him all through college and med school. So sometimes that C is an education all by itself.)
