Improvements/Advices/Chances at Yale for EA

I'm planning to apply to Yale Early Action and was wondering if prospective students, current students or alumni students may help me. Of course, if you may chance me, that'll be nice. But also, if any of you can give me advice on improvements and advice. That would be nice also.

Here is a basic rundown of my stats/ec's:

This is my "tentative" resume. It's not final yet.

Recommendations:
I believe my teacher recommendations would be quite good if not outstanding.

Essays:
I'm not too sure about this part yet, but I'm starting to think about it and am going to work on it this summer. Any advice here would be nice. =D

good chance, but i think you will need some leadership experience.
what do u want to major in?

rohin, aren't you a hs freshman?

...yeah...but...

but i do no for a fact that every top-notch college REALLY likes to see leadership on your resume.

I don't have a definite/final major yet, but I plan to major in something dealing with Film Arts with Business.

And yeah.... it really sucks without too many leadership positions. =(

"leadership experience" is probably the most absurd and poorly defined quality that might seem desirable on an application. I think what you're going for would be better described as being proactive with your interests. This may involve organizing other people, or it may involve doing significant and meaningful work yourself. But yale isn't looking for each of its applicants to have ran a club or had a position in student government.

probably going to need a higher SAT score

yeah. I'm going to aim for 2300+, but I'm not taking it until October. So... hopefully it'll rise up quite a bit.

SO for being proactive in activities, should I convey this in my essays? I'm kinda iffy about how to write my essays. I've been thinking on writing it on my "emotions" and "thoughts" when I do something I love, like playing tennis, conducting music, or just playing my trumpet. However, I think this might fall under the "generic" essay category. Any thoughts?

bump 10char

Nice resume, you have succesfully put yourself in the running for Yale (in my opinion), but nothing says you have a better chance than anybody else. So, if I were you (and again, I'm in the same position as you, in the running) I would apply but not get my hopes up.
