I'm a junior taking the June ACT, but I don't have time to study until after June 1st (my last day of finals). Without school for a week, I'm hoping to improve my scores from the practice ACT I took (which I scored a 26 on ((23 Science, 26 Reading, 28 Math, 30 Writing)).

With a week to study, does anybody have any suggestions that might help improve my score? Or would studying for only a week really not help me? Are there any book suggestions?

Thanks in advance. :)

bump, any input is once again very much appreciated =]

Practice, practice, practice… The best book is the red ACT. It has five real ACT exams. There are also links to three published ACT from old exams on the forum.

Take exams and go back through what you missed and understand why.

My DD will be taking it in June. She hasnt practiced and probably will not until a few days before. Her areas she can improve on are English and mathematics. Both are very good, however there is still some room if she focus the week before exam.

She has taken it five times now. One time each during first two years and three times as junior. Each time score has gone up I believe due to familiarity as well as schoolwork. June will be her final time. Her last exam she actually reached her goal, however it was state funded without writing.

Good luck!
