Hi all,
First off, I have always dreamed of being accepted into Notre Dame since I was in third grade and have tried to follow all the needed items to measure up to their standards. Currently, I am a Jounior in high school, and this year has not been stellar by far but I am still passing all my classes. I have taken five AP classes so far and will be in five more next year. I have a 3.4 unweighted GPA and a 3.75 weighted GPA as well. I am also in two honor societies, three academic based extracurriculars, and many other clubs and activities. However, I am concerned that after this year Notre Dame doesn't want me as a student anymore since my Jounior year was intense. I am wondering, do I still appear as a decent candidate for Notre Dame? What can do to drastically improve my chances of getting into Notre Dame?

Thanks for any info

FORM A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR ADMISSIONS REP.
I heard that’s a little secret at Notre Dame, esp if you’re on the waiting list!
That does not mean harass them , it just means ask a question every now and then and try to make a personal connection. You want them to remember you - in a positive way.

That being said, if you really want to get in you need to excel in your classes for the rest of this year. Show that you took on a challenge, but you still were able to achieve As and some Bs. That will be the best for you. Also, aim for an ACT/SAT above their average. Hopefully that will balance out your grades.

Keep being involved. Getting a summer job looks favorable on your college resume. And write some killer essays.

Best of luck to you.
I know how it is to be in love with ND :)

Dear Morgan27,
Thanks for the idea, it sounds pretty reasonable and like something that can make a large, positive imapct. I’ll start it soon.
Best of luck to you too for admission to ND,
