Improving handwriting legibility for AP Classes?

I'm looking into anything that can help me improve my handwriting legibility. My handwriting is horrid; I write probably like a 3rd grader.

Is there anything I can do to improve my handwriting? I don't want to learn cursive, just want to make my handwriting neater. Any books? Any thing I could do that wouldn't cost money? (Do you guys practice your handwriting on a notebook everyday?)

Thanks for the input

The reason why I'm writing this is b/c I been doing horrible b/c the teachers couldn't read my handwriting for my AP classes.

(this doesn’t really help but…)

I’ve found that ap scores and handwriting are inversely related. My handwriting has often been compared to a form of Arabic writing, meaning I always squish/merge letters together. Got a 4 on AP eng and 5 on US and I’m a terrible writer.

Just focus on it each time you write and try to make it somewhat legible

Practice. It sounds silly but it works. Believe me, my notebook looks as if someone farted on it. But take some practice essays (on any topic), and try to write neatly. I changed from cursive to print, if thats helpful.

Good stuff, I have dysgraphia and with ALOT of practice it did wonders for me.

In addition to these other good suggestions, I’ve found that slowing down is often helpful. While it’s not something you’re going to be able to use all the time, focusing on how you’re forming the letters when you have the time will gradually improve how you form those letters when you have to write more hurriedly.
