I took the ACT yesterday and I believe math and science are my weak points, especially science. English and reading are very easy (but the timing on reading is tough), math is ok, and science is pretty tough. I think my scores will look like this: English: 33-36, Math: 28-31, Reading: 31-34, Science: 25-28. I'm hoping for a 31 composite, but it will probably be somewhere in the 28-31 range. I understand that you don't need to understand what you're reading in science, but I have a hard time focusing on things that don't make any sense to me. I just skip right to the graphs and can typically make sense of it, but usually there's a few crazy graphs. I used Barrons (2010 or 2011) and the red book to study. I will review sections in Barrons again, and I'll take the tests from the red book again during the summer once I forget the questions. I'm planning on studying during the summer so I can take it during September and maybe even October.

Ok, I know this is a lot and I'm looking a little far in the future considering I took the ACT yesterday, but if you don't feel like reading the above, my question is what books will help prepare me for the math & science portions of the ACT? I need something that goes over all the possible math concepts with practice problems and thorough explanations, and something that explains how to approach the science section with some practice. Would the Barrons & PR math & science workbooks help me boost my math score to a 33+ and science to a 31+? I'd probably add Barrons 36 and maybe another general prep book that has full practice tests.
