I just got my results back from the april testing date. My composite score was a 28. I had a 30 in english, 29 in reading and a 32 in science. While I was pleased with those scores...I was not too happy about my math. I got a 22 on the math. I have always had to study more for math then anything else so I should have expected it. That doesn't mean I'm not going to try to improve it though. Specifically, I got a 12 on pre-alg/elem. alg, a 12 on alg/coord. geometry and a 10 on plane geometry/trig. I am currently taking Algebra II and I plan on taking either Trig/Pre-calc or Trig/Stats next year. Can anyone recommend a book to help improve my math score? Or perhaps some type of computer program? Thanks a ton.

um the barrons 2007 has a good math review
i checked out textbooks from my school and worked through them.. they are really good especially if you do it with a tutor
and use real act book. just to get a feel for the type of questions cause alot of them are similar to the real ones.. even sat math books are good.. just work as much math as you can
i believe the math score is the easiest one to improve so your doing good

Once you take Trigonometry, your score will definately improve. I suggest that you go to your school and see if you could just borrow a geometry book, and just review the major things. For algebra, there are many questions you don't even need to know how to do. You can simply just plug the answers given into the equation. This could be time consuming, but the answers are in order from smallest to biggest, so you need to start with the middle number and depending on if you get the right answer adjust so you can save time. You also can't be afraid to skip around on the test, even if you may know how to do a certain question that may be time consuming.
