Improving My Timing on the ACT Science Section

ACT Science the only section I struggle with, mostly because I’m not used to the content, so I end up over analyzing the questions and taking more time than necessary. I’ve consistently been getting 29’s and 30’s for my science score but 34’s and above for all my other sections so I’m only going to focus on bringing up my science score. Any tips?

Don’t read the passages. No one’s supposed to understand the content, it’s more about analyzing the data they provide, so if you’re taking the time to read them before answering questions like you would in the reading section, you’re wasting time.
Skim the intro section where it tells you what the experiment’s about, then read the questions thoroughly. Go back to the passages/data as needed. Most of it’s pretty straightforward – you need to be able to recognize trends in the data, compare different sections of the experiment, etc, but don’t do it until they ask you to.
Hope this helps!
