Improving SAT Math score?

I'm someone who scores around mid to high 600s for math on practice SATs. I would really love a 770+ because math screws my overall score up, haha.

I'm not sure why I score so low on the SAT math. Math has NEVER been a problem for me until the SATs. I know there's room for improvement :)

1) How good is Gruber's Complete SAT Math Workbook? If anyone has used it, has it helped? I read that it's like 3rd grade level- is that true?
2) Any other books/tips that you can recommend?

Thanks!

As far as Gruber’s math workbook is concerned, I haven’t used it much, but from looking through it I think its helpful on brushing up many overlooked techniques. I do agree, however, it is a bit “3rd grade level.” It does focus on rudimentary aspects, but lots have vouched for it to improve scores into the high 700 range.

Thanks  I’m still contemplating whether I should get it or not… haha bump
