Improving score 2-3 points before October test...

I'm a senior who scored a 30 Composite on the June ACT (36 English, 30 Reading, 27 Science, 26 Math). I've taken the test three times and scored a 28 in 9th grade, a 29 last December, and then the 30 this summer. Obviously, I'd like to bump up my Science and Math scores the most. I'm worried that the big gap between my highest and lowest subscores won't look very good to a few of the schools to which I'm applying. I've never done any prep for the ACT before, but I bought the ACT Online Prep program when I registered for the October test. Do you think it would be possible for me to boost my composite up to a 32/33 by using the program and general studying? I'm aiming for a 28 Math, 29 Science, and a 33 Reading because I scored that last December.

Thanks!

I didnt find ACT online that helpful, except for the fact they had 2 practice exams. I think you should get the red book for practice exams and a Princeton Review Cracking book for strategies. You should be good after that. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! I’ve found the Online Prep useful so far in that they show you exactly what you need to practice once you enter your previous scores. I just wish they had more than two practice tests, so I’ll probably get the red book for sure.
