improving stats

<p>Alright, I'm an international Freshman at UMass, looking to transfer to NYU. The thing is, I do not believe my stats are good enough, but I have no idea what to do about them:</p>

<p>HS GPA ~3.65 (converted from a different system, 4.56/5)
College GPA: no idea so far, probably around 3.4-3.6 - I am working hard to bring it up though!
taking Biology, Honors Chem, Psychology and Math
Taking an Honors Chem class is bringing it down, but I really don't want to drop this class!
No ECs except for Biology Club - my university has NO extracurriculars I'm interested in. The Neuroscience club, photography club and the debate team are all dead. :(
No HS ECs - my school (in another country) didn't offer any at all
(I took chemistry courses from another school and won a few English olympiads, hope that counts)
No work experience - you can't get a job if you're under 18 in my country, and the part-time jobs for <18 y.o. are extremely ****ty (delivering stuff or handing out flyers)</p>

<p>So - any suggestions on what to do? I'm really not used to being socially active and participating in clubs\organizations, so I have no idea :(</p>

<p>You can’t do anything about your HS gpa, but for your college gpa, you can take more classes that you will get an A in so it raises your GPA. If your university has bad clubs, make your own or revive the other clubs you are interested in. As for working, you can always find a job before you transfer.</p>
