Unfortunately, I have not won any awards or did anything spectacular since being waitlisted. Is there anything I could send or say that would help my chances?

I sent a letter reiterating my interest in the college I was waitlisted at. However, I know a lot of people who got in without writing an additional letter because often colleges are looking for very specific people to fill the spots from the waitlist. Like if they are short engineering students, they will look for engineering students and in that case, if you aren’t an engineering student, there’s nothing you can do. So in that sense there’s very little control that you have over it, but a letter wouldn’t hurt.

If you haven’t won any major awards/etc, your best bet would be to send a letter of interest and recommendations. That being said, it’s a bit late since most schools are already removing candidates from their wait-lists.

It’s a bit late, most schools going to wl have chosen the candidates and it will just be a few from summer melt now.
