did u get the request through a separate letter or did u get the request through the scholarship rejection letter. please answer

i got it through the no scholarship letter

ucplaya05: What did you get it through?

I got it through the no scholarship letter.

My son got both letters LOL

He got the no scholarship letter, (we weren't counting on one in this round) today along with his NMF award letter. This version of the USC letter mentioned he will receive the Presidential scholarship if named a NMF and if he is admitted to USC.

The letter said 17,000 apps were received by Dec 11th and of those 1,200 will proceed to the next phase of the scholarship selection process.

In Bold Print the letter said -- However, before I continue, I want to make clear that we have not reached a decision on your application, you are still being considered for admission to USC.

drizzit- what was the second letter (besides the no scholarship letter)?

The first letter was just a request for Mid-term grades with no mention of scholarship.

The second latter was the no scholarship letter. They basically asked him twice for his mid-term grades ;)

drizzit- would you mind quoting the first letter (just a request for Mid-term grades?) I haven't heard anyone else getting that one. I'm curious if it contains any other clues.

unbelievable. Am I the only one who got a mid year request through phone?

MrxPenguin-
What do you mean? Who called you and what did they say? Do you have a circumstance where they couldn't send you a letter?

MrxPenguin,

didn't you apply for RHP?? Isn't your situation a little different from us seniors, considering that you're a junior in high school and USC admission officers probably wanna see how well you're doing your junior year asap?

Hence they called you?

Yes, I applied for RHP. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm just confused with the whole admissions thing at USC.

yeah i just got that letter....will they kill me if i don't send it in?

i got both lettesr

Bannana_girl- Would you please quote the second letter? (not the "you didn't get a scholarship letter.) We haven't been able to see that on these forums yet.

i got both letters too. the letter specifically requesting a mid year report basically just said "Thank you for your strong interest in the University of Southern California... We have completed a preliminary review of your application file and are writing to request further information. Specifically, we would like to see the results of the first semester of your senior year course work before we take final action on your application..." and the rest just said how to submit the midyear report.

too bad my grades didn't exactly improve.. they didn't exactly go down either..

I got both too

Just the scholarship rejected letter (so far).

Dec. applicant.

d got the request through the no scholarship letter

does it really matter? My d got it through the scholarship rejection letter
