@AviSaxena33 I feel that the reason I am getting such a low SAT score is because I am in AP Stats. I forgot or am weak in the math that I have not done in a couple of years; so the fact that I am in a higher math class should not necessarily make it any easier on me. I do, however, understand where you’re coming from.

@priyaluvsbooks Thank you. That did help me set my goal a bit higher.

@priyaluvsbooks Did they ever happen to tell you what areas you needed to improve in? In terms of SAT scores?

@yka101 of course. But that probably pertains to me. However, they told me I had to improve mainly in Critical Reading.

Hehe, seeing your guys’s scores make me cringe over my scores.

@AviSaxena33 My real SAT score comes out tomorrow and I swear my heart is going to rip out of my chest. But I think we should just ask Priya to take our SAT’s for us.

@priyaluvsbooks Aw dang it. I thought they hardly even looked at that. Even more work for me then dang ittt.

@AviSaxena33 @yka101 ya. NO. god, taking the SAT’s for myself is already enough work. Dude. I stayed up till midnight just to see my SAT scores. God. so many complications. I’m taking them on Dec. 6 as well. At Waubonsie Valley.

hahaha yeahh I’m taking it again on dec. 6 again at mundelein but I don’t know if I can improve by much. aaand I’m gonna stay up tonight to see my scores too. fun, am I right… @priyaluvsbooks

I wish IMSA could get an interview with you so they could see your passion to get into the school because I know my math sat are above average, but my reading will kill me.

@yka101 CR is the last thing they look at but it’s still a factor. Math is first then it goes to like grades teach recco activites etc and then sat cr

couldn’t agree with you more. @AviSaxena33 that was literally spot on. I wish there was more that could show them how much we’re willing to try and learn instead of how much we already know.

ahh that makes more sense. @priyaluvsbooks

Honestly, I’m from palatine and here’s the problem. Palatine is regarded as on of the state’s best highschools, no where close to aurora and naperville though, but palatine as a city and cook county is known as “crook county” although I live on the more “rich side of town”, but I would like them to consider I’m from the poor side of town and view palatine as a terrible place haha.

hahaha yeahh I’m from a pretty terrible school so I hope they regard that as a big determining factor. But yeah, I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about palatine so good luck to you.
On the bright side, you have better opportunities to learn and all with a good school. @AviSaxena33 the thing that bothers me is that it’s so hard to get into IMSA. and the way that they determine whether or not you’ll get in is with an application. Honestly, an application shows nothing of what type of person you are or how smart you are. yeah, sure, the SAT measures your skills, but it most definitely does not measure how hard you’re willing to try and how hard you’re willing to work. Their selection process in general just bothers me.

@yka101 I think essays and teacher recco, and possibly your activities mostly display somewhat of your characteristics especially essays and activities, but nothing beats a 1 on 1 interview for me.

yeah, I see what you’re saying haha. An interview would help sooo much for me. @AviSaxena33

No. They look at math and critical reading together. Basically u should aim to have a 1400 sat score

does that include the writing section? @priyaluvsbooks

I just checked my scores ad it said, “Test not yet administered.” are you kidding meee honestly
