If y’all don’t know already, each incoming sophomore gets an upperclassman Big Sibling to help them/show them around for the first week or so at IMSA. If you have any questions about move-in and stuff after orientation, you can ask on the askFM at https://■■■■■■/bigsibling!
Also don’t be scared about placement testing! If you brush on stuff you know, you’re better off next years than studying things you don’t know and then being lost in math next year.
Also u should really make a group chat for just your class there are so. many. sophs memeing the google chat.
Also you should plan an outing or something together! Some of us went on an escape room thing in Chicago and it was a really fun bonding experience!

If they have a tennis team I would like to play just because I enjoyed it at my old school, but I have really, really bad coordination so if I do do it it’s mostly just for fun and to stay active.

Hey guys I have a question, what is excel? Just wondering. Is there anything different if you get in it? How do you get in it, and just general information. I think this has been asked before but just wondering again.

@rma2002 Excel is a program developed so an identified student will have a smoother transition into sophmore year. Basically, if they see that you are having trouble with your academics, they’ll require you to enroll in EXCEL and pass the course in order to officially become an IMSA student.
Just some clarification about excel: It’s not really based on academics (like grades) but more like placement testings, SAT scores, and what type of school you come from (if it’s a crappy school academically).
Is it true that there’s a deadline for incoming sophmores to choose their roommate?
@maxo you do not have to choose a roommate. You can leave it blank and they will find a match for you. And I believe all forms should be submitted by May 31
For " Little Sibling Interest Form " what to answer for : “IMSA email”? I do not think we have imsa emails… do we?
