IMSA Applicant Class of 2022

@brinaz03 it took mine 2 days to come, so expect 2-4 days is my guess

I honestly don’t even want to open my letter when it comes because of how nervous I am of being rejected

@brinaz The time of delivery heavily depends on your home location. I would say that appliants in the Chicagoland area will probably receive letters in 1-2 days. The further you get from IMSA, the longer it takes for the letter to arrive.

@hal0713 don’t be nervous! accepted or rejected, just be glad that you had this chance to apply and you’ve done something that not a lot of other people have done! plus, I’m sure that you’ll succeed whether you go to imsa or nor:)

Anyone got their letters yet?

Not yet, but I’m expecting it to come in today, cuz i live only 5 miles away from imsa.

@"#JellyJam123" I would assume that applicants in the Chicagoland area should receive their letters today. Last year, IMSA mailed the letters on April 25 and I received it on the 27th.

I recommend signing up for Informed Delivery. It’s a free service from the USPS. They send you scanned images of the mail that you are supposed to receive that day, just the letter sized stuff. Oversized stuff is not scanned. May come in handy later when you guys apply to colleges, National Merit, etc.

Rip I got waitlisted. Does anyone know the chances of getting off the wait list?

@Tandoorhut I think you have a pretty good chance of the waitlist! Most of the people that I know that go to IMSA were waitlisted. I hope to see you in the fall!

@brinaz03 Thanks for the optimism! The hardest part is probably waiting because in the letter IMSA said that they make waitlist decisions in the middle of June.

@Tandoorhut yep! you’ll get in bro, I have faith in you (:

Goodluck man! I know tons of people who got into IMSA who were waitlisted too. You’ll make it!

Also how far do you live from IMSA? We have the USPS informed delivery signed up, but we havent gotten anything on that yet.

@#JellyJam123 I live an hour and a half away from IMSA and I got mine at noon.

OOPS :frowning: I got waitlisted.
Wondering how many applicants waitpool 'ed this year.
Next couple of months “wait, eat, pray & hope”.
ohh well, may be its good for me and I will do great in my current school.
Good luck to all who got in and others please read the previous line. you will do great wherever you are.

My mom just told me it’s in the mail but I have prom today?

9th grade daughter just got accepted!

A few years ago our son got waitpooled. It was an anxious summer for us, and he never got accepted. They will accept kids on move in day if someone doesn’t show up. I remember that he had a bag packed and ready to go just in case.

Good luck to all!

I am actually kind of surprised I didn’t get in, because I had applied in 8th grade and got the 8th grade interview where I met with the admissions counselor. Hopefully the 8th grade interview helps get me off the waitlist.

@tabbychiro IMSA gives the option for wait pooled students to be taken out of the waitpool. Do you recommend that I do this because I know that getting of the wait list is pretty difficult?
