<p>Percentiles should not be used to compare the older tests with the newer ones. The average today would be below average back then because, as was said before, CB has recentered the scores. Today everyone takes the test basically, but back then, not that many did, only the ones that were actually smart and college bound. Using that score conversion thing that was posted would give you more accurate results.</p>
<p>^If it were true that only smart, college-bound people took the test in the late 70s, there would be little difference between those two percentile distributions. I think mrpete should feel good about his scores, which were better than roughly 4/5 of those heading off to college.</p>
