Free is hard to beat.

Thanks for all the responses guys and ya free is hard to beat, its just undergrad after all.

You should visit both schools and see where you like better. If you could see yourself happy at either place, then choose UNC because of the full ride. Seriously, it is going to feel SO GOOD knowing you’re going for free and don’t have to worry about finances. The prestige difference is negligible…people realize that UNC is a top school. Emory has a slight edge, but definitely not enough to be a tipping factor.

Frankly, if you’re looking for employment in Charlotte, where banking is prominent, UNC would be a plus. Likewise, Emory would be big in Atlanta. I have a hunch that both schools are more prominent in their respective regions. When I was in Hartford, Connecticut, never heard anyone mentioned Emory or UNC!

^ you worked in hartford…my condolences. haha

which one of the two degrees is more portable up in the northeast tho overall, im figuring if I cant get those coveted jobs, ill try my hometown of boston.

anyone? which degree is more portable?

Personally I would choose UNC. Great business school, I like Chapel-Hill more than Atlanta (this is personal preference) and ACC Basketball. Emory is probably better overall, but does not justify the price difference.

You cannot go wrong with either though.

bump anyone else have any opinions???
