In a rush

At this point I need to apply for any and all four year colleges in middle to Southern California that are open to undergrads in the winter and or spring. I’m having a hard time finding them. If you know of any please list them. I’m not worried about my stats. If I get rejected I get rejected but I know the deadlines are coming up.

This is a link to my stats.

How much can you afford to spend?

I have hardly any money at all but…

I’m not opposed to racking up 100,000 it debt.

Thank you! I knew ther had to be a website somewhere.

nooooooooooooooooooo!!!

I’m stapped for time and options. I could get grants and look for other things but I don’t have the time.

So take a year off. It’ll set your plans back 12 months. Coming out of college with 100K in debt will set your plans back until you’re middle-aged!

I’m in an unhealthy mind numbing environment. I think I will forget stuff like the quadratic equation, finding the zeros of a parabola and much of what I learned in chemistry and biology. Science is the field I want to stay in. I’m worried about going brain dead so much that I’m willing to pay back a lone until I retire.

If you are that worried about not forgetting things, save yourself 99,950 dollars and long years of debt and buy some chemistry/biology/math books that you can study.
You REALLY don’t want to owe that much money later on. Especially not in this economic climate.

I had the same reaction as gadad!
You have to make sure that the college you select is the right match for your academic interests.

I see in your chances thread that your mother was encouraging you to think about Spelman.
Does that interest you? It looks like for spring admission, Spelman’s deadline is November 1 with notification of the result just a month later.

I really don’t want to go there. Even thought I think I could get in. I wish to live in California. I applyed to university of California merced, I just need to find more colleges to apply to. Computer programing and biochemistry aren’t all that special, I sould be able to find that at most colleges.

I’m more likely to forget the math first.

You would rack up $200K for 4 years at Merced! Not anywhere close to worth it!! this is not just paying on loans until you retire, it will mean paying a large part of your income with nothing left for a home or decent car in most cases.

Hu? I thought it was a little less than that. I mean I’m going to be paying less after one year cause it will not be out of state

Do you really think that the UCs will allow you to change to in-state after one year at school??? Have you even checked the residency requirements?

I looked at the state’s requierments but I saw more than one date so something might be wrong.
I’m looking at Vanguard University have you ever heard of it?

Vanguard is a Christian university in Costa Mesa. They had trouble a while back with funding but I think it got resolved. I don’t think it’s the best California has to offer.

You should not plan on attending UC Merced without visiting…it’s not a place that everyone would love.
You will not be considered a CA resident at all during your four years, since you are still a dependent. The UC website has a detailed explanation of residency answers.
