In a stupid college dillema

Ok so my family is really poor and our family makes about 45000 dollars. On top of that my sister is also going tocollege so legit our family has no money.

But ivy league has need based fiancial aid that literally will allow me to go to college for free. So i know that i have to get in an ivy league school. But im at this dillema between choosing between cornell CAS and dartmouth for early decision.

I feel that cornell is much better chance for me to get in because its about 35% early decision rate. But if i could choose between cornell and dartmouth i would choose dartmouth. But the problem is that If i choose dartmouth eqrly decision and get rejected and apply cornell and get rejected i would be screwed. Is it just better to be safe and earl decision to cornell or should i consider trying early decision for dartmouth? Note that i really need to get into an ivy league for a good education for no money.

Btw
My gpa is uw: 3.89 w: 4.311 top 5% in my class
Sat: 2250
Sat ii : hopefully 800, 750
And i have pretty strong e.c

I was thinkin if i raised my sat to above 2330 that i early decision to dartmouth.
What do you guys think?

Sorry to say this, but if you’re fixated on only Cornell or Dartmouth, you might be disappointed. Ivy League admissions are never a sure thing, and your stats put you at the middle of pack from what I can see.

Are you black, Hispanic, or Native American? If so, I’d say you have an 80-90% of getting into at least one of Cornell or Dartmouth, but again, you can never be certain.

Don’t blind yourself into believing that an Ivy with massive need-based aid is the only option. Plenty of other schools will give full-rides for various reasons, one of the most common is high PSAT score/NMSF. Have you looked into those?
