Hi,

I am an International student. I got 1620 in SAT. I dont have good grades in my high school. All this thanks to not taking studies seriously. I wanted to be an actor etc. However, now I am admitted in University of Texas at Arlington for Fall 2009.

Now since I am fully focused on studies and I know that I can excel in studies, I want to start afresh. I want to give my SAT again and according to my practice tests I should score a minimum of 1900-2000 and most likely more than that. Last time around I pretty much just appeared on the test day (not proud of it now). But the SAT date is in October and I am already admitted in a University. When I transfer after one year, will the universities look at my new SAT score or only care about the one I gave before I was admitted? I want to know, if I get a great GPA and a good score in SAT the second as mentioned above what are the chances of getting into a very good university that will give me a scholarship.

Please note again that I was pretty good at academics, however due to my ambitions in different fields, I detoured from studies and performed very badly. I want to start again.
