Did anyone send in any information/material that was not requested by the application? For example, additional reccomendations (not the two required teacher evaluations with reccomendations) or activity sheets? Secondly, is it too late for a teacher to send in one such additional reccomendation letter? I remeber hearing that so long as I gave the individual the materials in time to hand them in, it was no longer my responsibility.

Thanks lots! :)

yes I gave extra stuff (extra recs, resume) They won't discount something extra even if it's late as long as they get it before they look at your app. This includes extra recs, resumes, and updated test scores.

i sent a resume and a music supplement...

...and a progress report with really good grades, even thought they'll see the marking period ones.

Extras are always better (within reason). Send anything with your app that will help your chances (ie. activity sheets, additional recs, things that showcase your talent in a particular area....an additional essay on how you loath harvard or how you love the dean of admissions, wads of cash, etc). Alright, all kidding aside, extras are good.

oh yeah, I sent official first quarter grades, unrequested

my S sent a copy of the abstract to research he has been doing in a 3yr. science research course. it kind of goes along with his intended major. we sure hope it helps him!! GOOD LUCK!!

hm.. did anyone sending music supplemental notice they changed the postmark deadline? it was nov. 15 couple weeks ago..and they changed it to nov. 1 couple days ago.

i even emailed the assistant administrator (last month) and she even told me to turn it in late november..

i have no clue whats goin on anymore :(
